PERSONALITY:
The quote, "Don't judge a book by its cover," is really important to keep in mind when you first see Dani, because she really is a sweet girl. She looks out for others more than she does for herself, especially if the other is a good friend. She loves people, and instead of listening to the professor during class, she usually winds up paying more attention to how students are interacting with each other. That being said, even though she doesn't like getting involved with the on-going battles between the houses and social classes, Dani really enjoys watching how the confrontations go on. She's not interested in keeping the peace between students, because she sees it as part of the way communities function, so she does nothing to stop it.
Obviously, Dani is a beautiful girl, and she uses her looks to her advantage. She's very good at working men over to doing her will using whatever means necessary. She's great at flirting and it's something she actually enjoys doing. Even when she isn't trying to get something she wants, it seems like she can't help but flirt with any boy she comes across. She loves being the center of male attention, which also indirectly makes her something of a sleaze in other girls' eyes. She has very few female friends and doesn't mind it that way, because she prefers to be without company anyway. She's sort of a recluse and mostly keeps to herself.

HAIR/EYES:
Brown hair, and blue-green eyes
HEIGHT/WEIGHT:
5'6", 114 lbs
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:
Dani Gallis is drop-dead gorgeous to put it into simple terms. She has long, dark hair that flows about halfway down her back. Her skin-tone is a light bronze, and she rarely ever burns in the sun. Her eyes are almond shaped, and in different lights they seem to change from bright blue to a pale green. She keeps her eyebrows shaped to her eyes just right, and she usually wears no more make-up than a little eye liner, foundation, and some lip gloss. Her lips are really full, and her teeth are perfectly straight and white.
As for her body, Dani is stuck right in the middle between being tall and short. Her body structure is petite, and she stays in shape by getting out and doing things during the day when classes aren't in-session. Most of her height is only because of how long her legs are, because her abdomen is actually really short. She has slender fingers, and was always told they would be good for playing piano, a hobby she's taken up. She keeps her nails pretty long and she always has them painted a light color, and her toenails always match.

CHARACTER HISTORY:
Dani was born in London, England on December 20. She was the first child to come after two miscarriages for Victoria. Her parents both loved her to death, but they couldn't stand each other, and they felt like they needed to get a divorce. Fortunately, she was only about two years old, and so it was all she really ever knew by the time she got old enough to realize it. Even though she lived with her mother in Nottingham, she was a daddy's girl through and through. She went to visit her dad at least once a month, and got to watch him do all of his fancy things he liked to call "magic tricks." All of the "tricks" he did were actually brought on by real magic, and her muggle mother was determined to keep her from knowing about it, in hopes of protecting her from the wizarding world.
When she was only seven or eight years old, though, she was already showing signs of magical ability. She started causing things to happen that she couldn't control when people made her sad or angry. It wasn't until four years later when she got her letter from Hogwarts that she would understand what it was all about, and she was absolutely ecstatic to find out what she was now capable of. She left for her first year at Hogwarts, and was sorted into Ravenclaw because of her love for learning, and she adored her school. Now she's going into her sixth year and she's watching the Slytherins tear apart the school bit by bit, and she's finding it a little hard to cope with. Everything as she knows it is falling apart, and all she can do is watch it crumble.

ROLE PLAY SAMPLE:
11:15 p.m. was approximately what the big grandfather clock in the Ravenclaw common room was reading, and it had to be right. It was pretty easy to tell that it was too late to be out, judging by the fact that most of the students who had been studying had finally closed their books and headed to their assigned dormitories. Dani seemed to be the only person still sitting in the vast room, and she had just been waiting for the room to clear out completely so she could sneak out without being seen by a single person. She wanted there to be no questions asked as she slipped through the door and made her way down seven flights of stairs after curfew, and the thought scared her, but it also brought on excitement.
She was walking so briskly down all of the stairs that it might be considered a run. By this time of going out passed curfew, she had come to the conclusion that not wearing shoes was the best idea for moving quickly and making as little noise as possible. Heels had clunked, flip-flops had smacked, and even tennis shoes had made some sort of thumping noise unless she was extremely careful. Usually she had carried a pair of some sort of shoe with her, but the last time she had, she'd dropped one and disturbed a sleeping picture frame, having to leave the shoe like Cinderella in order to keep from being caught by any prefects or professors. She'd hoped that coming back to it after her night out would promise it to still be there, but she had been sorely mistaken and trudged up the stairs with one lonely shoe in her hand.
She was now making her way across the entrance hall to the great doors that led outside of the school. Carefully pushing one open just enough for her tiny-framed body to slip through the crack, she barely made any noise to alert anyone to her escape. She felt the dew-ridden grass slide between her toes but didn't let it bother her at all, because she had better things to worry about. She made her way through the grass and all the way down to the lake. She stepped down into the mud to get and looked at her own reflection in the dark waters, smiling up at herself. When she did she could see the clear sky with the shimmering stars, and it made her smile widen even more. This had been the night she'd been waiting for. It was going to be memorable, and she almost longed for someone to share it with.
Shaking off that thought, she stared up at the sky and saw how perfectly round the moon was this particular night. It somehow looked bigger than usual, making it all the prettier. It was then that Dani got a silly little idea that it was possible no one would understand but her. She looked back into the waters and bent slowly to cause as little rippling as possible. Reaching out her arm, she pointed one slender finger touched one of the sparkling stars that had been reflected. She giggled a little to herself, and said out loud, to no one but nature, "I finally got close enough to touch a star." It might have been immature for her to be acting so childish as she was, but there was something in the night sky that caused her to melt every time she saw it, especially on a night like tonight. Even if there were anyone who might hear her, she wouldn't regret it in the least.
